Revitalize with Intermittent Fasting

Updated: Dec 7, 2023

Intermittent fasting, or simply fasting, is an ancient practice aimed at transforming our relationship with food by purifying the body and preventing certain health issues associated with modern eating habits. Today, this trendy approach is embraced for well-being and health.

The principle of intermittent fasting involves refraining from eating for 12 to 16 consecutive hours. For instance, one might have dinner and then skip breakfast the next morning, only eating again at lunch. However, if you have a busy daytime schedule or breakfast is your favorite meal, you can opt to skip dinner instead

Some research suggests that intermittent fasting may be more beneficial than other diets in reducing inflammation and improving conditions associated with inflammation, such as:

  • Alzheimer's Disease

  • Arthritis

  • Asthma

  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Stroke

Indeed, during a limited timeframe of not consuming any food, your body can redirect all its energy to healing damaged or inflamed tissues. As solid food is excluded (leading to a reduction in daily calorie intake), it's vital to ensure proper hydration by consuming 1.5 to 2 liters of fluids (water, tea, herbal infusions, broth...)

What are the health benefits?

  1. Regulating blood sugar levels.

  2. Reducing markers of metabolic syndrome

  3. Reduction of chronic inflammation.

  4. Increased life expectancy.

  5. Enhancing cognitive functions.

  6. Weight loss
